Congress Opening Ceremony
Session 1. FM Strategy and Governance.
Topic: Facility Management governance is the framework that defines who decides, what is decided, how it is decided and how it is verified that the management of built environments and their support services contribute to the organization’s objectives.
Session 2. Technology, Digitalization and Smart Facilities
Topic: IoT, BIM, digital twins, and the digitalization of facility and service management.
Coffee break and networking in the exhibition space.
Session 3. Sustainability, Energy and the Circular Economy
Topic: Energy efficiency, sustainability certifications, and the application of circular economy principles to buildings.
Session 4. Regulations, Costs and Compliance in Facility Management. FM Around the World
Topic: Legislation, cost control, regulatory compliance, and outstanding international Facility Management case studies.

Session 5. Service Management and Operational Maintenance
Topic: Service optimization and transition to predictive maintenance.
Session 6. Risks, Security and Business Continuity
The panel will focus on the role of facility management in the comprehensive management of risks, safety, and the operational continuity of buildings and services.

Topic: Well-being, productivity, and people-centred workplaces.

At the same time, in parallel, we will have an exhibition hall with Facility Management solutions where we can see the latest innovations in the world of Facility Management.

As a closing highlight of the congress, on the final day we will take a cultural tour of three of Barcelona’s most iconic landmarks: the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya (MNAC), the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion, and the Montjuïc Fountains.
General Activity Information
Departure time: Departure will be promptly at 10:00 AM for all groups.
Limited capacity: The activity has a total capacity of 60 people (20 people per group).
Target audience & registration: Visits are intended for registered Congress members. A limited number of registrations will be opened to the general public soon.
Same itinerary, different order: All groups will visit all three destinations.
Group selection: When registering for the congress, you must select the group you wish to join (Group 1, Group 2, or Group 3).
